Snore Stopper Review – Can It End Your Snoring Problem?

Snore Stopper by Hivox is an anti-snore device that is similar to a watch as you affix it to your wrist with the aid of a Velco strap and wear it at night while you’re asleep. Through bio-sensors, this product can supposedly detect when you snore. It then sends a mild harmless electrical shock to your body (without disturbing your sleep) causing the throat muscles to relax, thereby preventing snoring.  The signal can also force you to change body position, similar to the effect when being nudged by a spouse when you snore. Priced at $80, the entire kit includes extra self-adhesive electrode pads, storage case, moist alcohol wipe, and the device itself.

Pros
-The snore stopper device actually looks simple and easy to use.

-It is safe and comfortable to wear at night.

-The setting for the electrical signals is adjustable.

-No complicated instructions involved, just strap it on at night before sleeping.

-Unlike a chin strap or mouthpiece, you would not look funny when you wear it.

-Handy and convenient, you can easily bring it when you travel or “sleep over”.

-Automatic power shut off after 8 hours.

Cons
-It is battery operated so you have to constantly monitor and replace it to make sure it will work.

-It is not guaranteed that it will only be sensitive to your snoring sound. Additionally sound in the room other than your snore, might cause it to shock you even if you are not snoring.

-The gel pads on the wrist side needs constant replacing and might not be cost effective.

-It is expensive and does not involve a one-time cost as it involves the cost of replacing the battery and gel pads.
